Additional information about this, The Stone Roses vinyl art.

The Stone Roses – The Artist

The Stone Roses are an English rock band formed in Manchester in 1983. One of the pioneering groups of the Madchester movement in the late 1980s and early 1990s, the band’s lineup consists of vocalist Ian Brown, guitarist John Squire, bassist Mani and drummer Reni. The band released their debut album, The Stone Roses, in 1989. The album was a breakthrough success for the band and garnered critical acclaim, with many critics regarding it as one of the greatest British albums ever recorded.  The Stone Roses then released their second album, Second Coming, which was met with mixed reviews in 1994. The group soon disbanded after several lineup changes throughout the supporting tour.

She Bangs The Drum – The Song

She Bangs The Drum is a song written by Ian Brown and John Squire of  the indie rock band, The Stone Roses. It was the second single taken from their debute album, The Stone Roses. The single used a noticeably different mix of “She Bangs the Drums” to the album version. The hi-hat intro was omitted and it featured a slightly heavier guitar sound and a marginally different backing vocal arrangement. This single version is the one most commonly used for compilations and radio play.

The Bucket Hat & Sun Glasses – The Shape

Modelled into the silhouette of a cotton bucket hat and sunglasses as worn by vocalist and frontman Ian Brown. The cotton bucket hat was a favourite of his and became a regular sight at his live concerts. The distinctive sunglasses which featured different sized lenses was also an Ian Brown favourite.

A bucket hat (variations of which include the fisherman’s hat, Irish country hat and session hat) is a hat with a wide, downward-sloping brim. Typically, the hat is made from heavy-duty cotton fabric such as denim or canvas, or heavy wool such as tweed, sometimes with metal eyelets placed on the crown of the hat for ventilation. It was first adopted as a high fashion item in the 1960s, and with subsequent revivals in both street fashion and on the catwalk. It is popular festival gear in the present day, also known as a “session hat” and is favored by fans of bands such as Sticky Fingers, The Stone Roses, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Oasis, Yung Lean, and The Courteeners.
