Additional information about this Nirvana vinyl art.

Nirvana – The Artist

Nirvana was an American rock band formed by lead singer and guitarist Kurt Cobain and bassist Krist Novoselic in Aberdeen, Washington, in 1987. Nirvana went through a succession of drummers, the longest-lasting and best-known being Dave Grohl, who joined in 1990. Despite releasing only three full-length studio albums in their seven-year career, Nirvana has come to be regarded as one of the most influential and important alternative bands in history. Though the band dissolved in 1994 after the death of Cobain, their music maintains a popular following and continues to influence modern rock and roll culture.

Sliver – The Song

Sliver is a song by American rock band Nirvana, written by vocalist and guitarist Kurt Cobain. It was originally released as a non-album single in 1990 by the band’s then record label, Sub Pop.
Unlike other Nirvana songs it was recorded before being played live and according to Cobain, Silver was written when trying to write a ridiculous pop song in order “to prepare people for the next album,” which became their 1991 release, Nevermind.

The Angel – The Shape

The angel with wings was inspired from the “transparent anatomical mankin” on the cover of the Nirvana, “In Utero” album.  These angels where made into mannequins and were used extensively with Kurt Cobain when on tour.
