Additional information about this, Carpenters vinyl art.

Carpenters – The Artists

The Carpenters were an American vocal and instrumental duo consisting of siblings Karen (1950–1983) and Richard Carpenter (b. 1946). They produced a distinct soft musical style, combining Karen’s contralto vocals with Richard’s arranging and composition skills. During their 14-year career, the Carpenters recorded ten albums, along with numerous singles and several television specials.

Solitaire – The Song

‘Solitaire’ is a ballad written by Neil Sedaka and Phil Cody. Cody employs playing the card game of solitaire as a metaphor for a man “who lost his love through his indifference”—”while life goes on around him everywhere he’s playing solitaire”. The song is probably better known via its rendition by Andy Williams and the Carpenters.

The Game, Peg Solitaire – The Symbol

This record has been modelled into a peg board to accommodate marbles, as used for the classic solitaire game, ‘Peg Solitaire.’ Peg solitaire (or Solo Noble) is a board game for one player involving movement of pegs on a board with holes. Some sets use marbles in a board with indentations. The game is known simply as Solitaire in the United Kingdom where the card games are called Patience. The standard game fills the entire board with pegs except for the central hole. The objective is, making valid moves, to empty the entire board except for a solitary peg in the central hole. A valid move is to jump a peg / marble orthogonally over an adjacent peg /marble into a hole two positions away and then to remove the jumped peg / marble.
