The record was released on the RCA record label, in the UK, and has been reworked into the shape of the Rebel Alliance Symbol from the film Star Wars.
Star Wars Theme / Cantina Band is a disco single recorded by Meco, taken from the album Star Wars and Other Galactic Funk. To date it is the biggest-selling instrumental single in the history of recorded music, having sold two million units. Star Wars Theme / Cantina Band is one of two songs which became hits featuring music from the Star Wars movie. The other is Star Wars (Main Title), which is original music from the movie soundtrack by John Williams.
