Additional information about this, Donna Summer vinyl art.

Donna Summer – The Artist

LaDonna Adrian Gaines (1948 – 2012), widely known by her stage name based on her married name Donna Summer, was an American singer, songwriter and actress. She gained prominence during the disco era of the late 1970s. Summer has reportedly sold over 100 million records worldwide, making her one of the world’s best-selling artists of all time. She became known as the Queen of Disco, while her music gained a global following.

The Wanderer – The Song

The Wanderer is a song by American singer Donna Summer, released as the lead single from her 1980 eighth album of the same name, which was the first for her new label Geffen Records after recording her previous albums with Casablanca Records. Despite the label change, Summer continued to work with Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte, who had produced the majority of her hits in the late 1970s. However, it marks a change in style for The Queen of Disco, incorporating new wave styled synth riffs and a shuffling beat.

The Suitcase – The Shape

This record has been modelled into the silhouette of standard rectangular suitcase of the type that may be taken when travelling. A suitcase is a form of baggage. It is a rectangular container with a handle and is typically used to carry one’s clothes and other belongings while traveling. The first suitcases appeared in the late 19th century due to the increased popularity of mass tourism at the time, and were meant to hold dress suits (hence their name). They were originally made using heavier materials such as leather or steel, but, beginning in the 1930s, were constructed with more lightweight materials like plastic and cardboard.
