An individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record silhouette art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single featuring the 1981 pop, rock n’ roll hit, This Ole House by Shakin’ Stevens. Released on the Epic record label, this vinyl single has been reworked into a silhouette of an old house.
This Ole House is a popular song written by Stuart Hamblen, and published in 1954 and sung by Rosemary Clooney. The song again topped the UK chart in 1981 in this recording by Shakin’ Stevens. Hamblen is rumoured to have been out on a hunting expedition when he and his fellow hunter, actor John Wayne, came across a hut in the mountains. This inspired Hamblen to write This Ole House.
