Giorgio Moroder With Philip Oakey – The Artist/s

Giovanni Giorgio Moroder (born 1940) is an Italian composer, songwriter, and record producer. Dubbed the “Father of Disco”. Moroder is credited with pioneering Italo disco and electronic dance music, and his work with synthesisers heavily influenced several music genres such as new wave, house and techno music.

Philip “Phil” Oakey (born 1955) is an English singer, songwriter and record producer. He is best known as the lead singer, songwriter, and co-founder of English synth-pop band The Human League. Aside from The Human League, he has had an extensive solo music career and collaborated with numerous other artists and producers.

Together in Electric Dreams – The Song

‘Together In Electric Dreams’  is a song by the British singer and composer Philip Oakey and Italian composer and producer Giorgio Moroder. It was written by Oakey and Moroder and recorded for the original soundtrack of the film Electric Dreams (1984). It later formed part of the joint album Philip Oakey & Giorgio Moroder, released in 1985. Released as a single in the United Kingdom in September 1984, it proved a major commercial success, even eclipsing the original film it was intended to promote. It reached No.3 in the UK Singles Chart, staying in the charts for thirteen weeks.

The Personal Computer – The Shape

This record has been modelled into a personal desktop computer with a monitor, keyboard and processing unit. A personal computer (PC) is a multi-purpose computer whose size, capabilities, and price make it feasible for individual use. Personal computers are intended to be operated directly by an end user, rather than by a computer expert or technician. Unlike large costly minicomputers and mainframes, where many people may use it at the same time, a personal computer is generally used by individuals.
