Additional information about this Atomic Rooster vinyl art.

Atomic Rooster – The Artist/s

Atomic Rooster are a British rock band originally formed by members of The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, organist Vincent Crane and drummer Carl Palmer. Their history is defined by two periods: the early-mid-1970s and the early 1980s. The band went through radical style changes, but they are best known for the hard, progressive rock sound of their hit singles, “Tomorrow Night” (UK No. 11) and “Devil’s Answer” (UK No. 4), both in 1971. In 2016 Atomic Rooster reformed with permission from Crane’s widow, with the new line-up featuring two members from the various 1970s incarnations of the band.

Tomorrow Night – The Song

‘Tomorrow Night’ is a song and single written by Vincent Crane and performed by Atomic Rooster. Released in 1970 and taken from their 1970 album Death Walks Behind You, it reached 11 on the UK charts in 1971, staying there for 12 weeks. It was the first of the group’s two UK chart hits. The song is described as “riff-laden” and “gutsy”.

The Rooster – The Shape

This record has been modelled into the side profile of a Rooster similar to the bird that the band used on their promotional material. Rooster is a male chicken which is a domesticated form of the red junglefowl, originally native to Southeast Asia. It was first domesticated around 8,000 years ago and is one of the most common and widespread domesticated animals in the world. Chickens are primarily kept for their meat and eggs, though they are also kept as pets.
