An Individual, limited edition, example of vinyl record silhouette art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single of Total Eclipse of The Heart from 1982, by the Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler. Released on the CBS record label, this vinyl single has been reworked into the silhouette of a heart shaped total eclipse.

The power ballad, Total Eclipse of the Heart was written and produced by Jim Steinman, and released on Tyler’s fifth studio album, Faster Than the Speed of Night. The song became Tyler’s biggest career hit, hitting number one in several countries including the UK.  According to Steinman he actually wrote Total Eclipse of the Heart to be a vampire love song. Its original title was Vampires in Love because he was working on a musical of Nosferatu, the other great vampire story.
