Additional information about this Heaven 17 vinyl art.

Heaven 17 – The Artist

Heaven 17 are an English new wave and synth-pop band that formed in Sheffield in 1980. The band were a trio for most of their career, composed of Martyn Ware (keyboards), Ian Craig Marsh (keyboards) (both previously of the Human League) and Glenn Gregory (vocals). Although most of the band’s music was recorded in the 1980s, they have occasionally reformed to record and perform, playing their first ever live concerts in 1997. Marsh left the band in 2007 and Ware and Gregory continued to perform as Heaven 17.

We Live So Fast – The Song

We Live So Fast  is a song written and recorded by the English Syth-pop band Heaven 17. It was a single taken from their third album, ‘The Luxury Gap’ and is the b-side of their single “Temptation”. The Luxury Gap is the second studio album by the English synthpop band Heaven 17. It was originally released in April 1983, on the label Virgin. Recorded under the working title “Ashes and Diamonds”, it is the band’s best-selling album, peaking at number 4 on the UK Albums Chart – eventually becoming the 17th best-selling album of the year. In contrast to their debut album, Penthouse and Pavement, the singles charted strongly, particularly “Temptation” which reached number 2 in the UK Singles Chart and was the 34th biggest selling single of 1983. Other hits included “Come Live With Me”, “Crushed by the Wheels of Industry” and “We Live So Fast”.

F14A TomCat Jet plane – The Shape

Modelled into one of the fastest jet planes of the time and featured in the 1986 film “Top Gun”.  The Grumman F-14 Tomcat is an American supersonic, twin-engine, two-seat, twin-tail, variable-sweep wing fighter aircraft. It was the first such U.S. jet fighter with twin tails. The Tomcat was developed for the United States Navy’s Naval Fighter Experimental (VFX) program after the collapse of the F-111B project. The F-14 was the first of the American Teen Series fighters, which were designed incorporating air combat experience against MiG fighters during the Vietnam War.
