Everything But The Girl – The Artist

Everything but the Girl are an English musical duo formed in Kingston upon Hull in 1982, consisting of lead singer, songwriter, composer and occasional guitarist Tracey Thorn and guitarist, keyboardist, songwriter, composer, producer and singer Ben Watt. The group’s early works have been categorised as sophisti-pop with jazz influences before undergoing an electronic turn following the worldwide success of the 1994 hit single “Missing”. The duo have achieved four top 10 and 12 top 40 singles in the UK and have received eight gold and two platinum album BPI certifications in the UK as well as one gold album RIAA certification in the US.

Wrong (Todd Terry Remix Edit) – The Song

‘Wrong is a song written and recorded by English musical duo Everything but the Girl. It was released on 17 June 1996 as the second single from their ninth album, Walking Wounded (1996). A club remix of the song provided by Todd Terry went to number-one on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart.

The ‘Wrong’ Cross – The Shape

This record has been modelled into a ‘wrong’ cross. A cross is a geometrical figure consisting of two intersecting lines or bars, usually perpendicular to each other. The lines usually run vertically and horizontally. A cross of oblique lines, in the shape of the Latin letter X, is termed a saltire in heraldic terminology. A cross is often associated with marking and denotes a wrong answer compared to a tick for a right answer.
