An individual, limited edition, example of vinyl art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single featuring the  single, I Wanna Be With You by Maze Featuring Frankie Beverly. The record was released in 1983, on the Capitol record label and has been reworked into the silhouette of two open hands. A symbol that features on the cover of the single.

Maze – The Artist

Maze, also known as Maze Featuring Frankie Beverly and Frankie Beverly & Maze, is an American soul band founded by Frankie Beverly in Philadelphia in 1970. Under its original name Raw Soul, the band relocated to San Francisco and was introduced to Marvin Gaye. Gaye took the group on the road with him as one of his opening acts, and in 1976, he suggested that they change their name from Raw Soul. Maze released 9 Gold albums from 1977 to 1993. The band has maintained a large and devoted following.

I Wanna Be With You – The Song

I Wanna Be With You  is a 1986 single by the American funk / soul band Maze Featuring Frankie Beverly. It was written by Frankie Beverly and was taken from the album, ‘Live From Los Angeles’.

The Two Hands – The Shape

Modelled into the silhouette of a two open hands, palm upwards,  which is a symbol taken from the single artwork and used by the band to promote the single and album.
