Status Quo – The Artist/s
Status Quo are an English rock band who play boogie rock. The group originated in The Spectres, founded by Francis Rossi and Alan Lancaster in 1962, while still schoolboys. After a number of lineup changes, which included the introduction of Rick Parfitt in 1967, the band became The Status Quo in 1967 and Status Quo in 1969. They have had over 60 chart hits in the UK, more than any other rock band, including “Rocking All Over The World” in 1977, “Whatever You Want” in 1979 and “In the Army Now” in 1986 and 2010. Twenty-two of these reached the Top 10 in the UK Singles Chart. In July 1985 the band opened Live Aid at Wembley Stadium with “Rockin’ All Over the World”. In 1991, Status Quo received a Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music. The band appeared on Top Of The Pops more than any other artist. They have released over 100 singles and 33 albums, several of which were best-sellers.
Lies- The Song
“Lies” is a double A-side single released by the British rock band Status Quo in 1980 teamed with “Don’t Drive My Car” . “Lies” was considered to be the most commercial of the two. Both songs were included on the album Just Supposin’.
The Whispering Woman – The Shape
This record has been modelled into the silhouette of a woman whisering into the ear of a man as inspired by the records picture sleeve. A lie is an assertion that is believed to be false, typically used with the intention of deceiving or misleading someone. The practice of communicating lies is called lying. A person who communicates a lie may be termed a liar. Lies can be interpreted as deliberately false statements or misleading statements, though not all statements that are literally false are considered lies – metaphors, hyperboles, and other figurative rhetoric are not intended to mislead, while lies are explicitly meant for literal interpretation by their audience. Lies may also serve a variety of instrumental, interpersonal, or psychological functions for the individuals who use them.
