The Police – The Artist

The Police were an English rock band formed in London in 1977. For most of their history the line-up consisted of primary songwriter Sting (lead vocals, bass guitar), Andy Summers (guitar), and Stewart Copeland (drums, percussion). The Police became globally popular in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Emerging in the British new wave scene, they played a style of rock influenced by punk, reggae, and jazz. The Police disbanded in 1986 upon which they embarked on solo careers. The band have sold over 75 million records, making them one of the world’s best-selling artists of all time.

Message In A Bottle – The Song

Message In A Bottle’ is a hit song by the British rock band the Police, released in 1979 as the lead single from their second studio album, Reggatta de Blanc. It was written by Sting. The song is about a story of a castaway on an island, who sends out a message in a bottle to seek love. A year later, he has not received any sort of response, and despairs, thinking he is destined to be alone. The next day, he sees “a hundred billion bottles” on the shore, finding out that there are more people like him out there.

The Bottle – The Shape

This record is modelled into a glass bottle. A bottle is a narrow-necked container made of an impermeable material (clay, glass, plastic, aluminium etc.) in various shapes and sizes to store and transport liquids (water, milk, beer, wine, ink, cooking oil, medicine, soft drinks, shampoo, and chemicals, etc.) and whose mouth at the bottling line can be sealed with an internal stopper, an external bottle cap, a closure, or a conductive “inner seal” using induction sealing. Some of the earliest bottles appeared in China, Phoenicia, Crete, and Rome.

The Message Romans 12:9-end is a reading taken from the Bible and given a modern translation by Eugene H. Peterson
