An individual, limited edition, example of vinyl art made from a genuine, original, 45rpm, 7” single featuring the  single, Turn It On Again by Genesis. The record was released in 1980, on the Charisma record label and has been reworked into the silhouette of a vintage household water tap or faucet. This shape was chosen as a play on works and is rather tongue in cheek since the song is about a man obsessively watching television.

A great framed gift for a friend or family member who is a fan of Genesis, television, a plumber, enjoys plumbing, or has a special memory linked to the song.

Presented in a black wooden box frame
Limited Edition of 100, signed and numbered by myself, the artist

Additional information about this, Genesis vinyl art.

Genesis – The Artist/s

Genesis were an English rock band formed at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, in 1967. The most successful and longest-lasting line-up consisted of keyboardist Tony Banks, bassist/guitarist Mike Rutherford and drummer/singer Phil Collins. Significant former members were original lead singer Peter Gabriel, and guitarists Anthony Phillips and Steve Hackett. The band moved from folk music to progressive rock in the 1970s, before moving towards pop at the end of the decade. They have made worldwide sales of between 100 million and 150 million records.

Turn It On Again – The Song

‘Turn It On Again’ is a single by the English rock band Genesis, from their 1980 album Duke. It reached number 8 in the UK Singles Chart. The lyrics, by Mike Rutherford, concern a man who does nothing more than watch television. He becomes obsessed with the people he watches on it, believing them to be his friends.

Vintage Household Water  Tap – The Shape

Modelled into the silhouette a vintage household water tap. A tap (also spigot or faucet) is a valve controlling the release of a liquid or gas. The tap is used in the British Isles and most of the Commonwealth for any everyday type of valve, particularly the fittings that control water supply to bathtubs and sinks.
