David Bowie – The Artist

David Robert Jones (8 January 1947 – 10 January 2016), known professionally as David Bowie was an English singer, songwriter and actor who is often considered to be one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. He was a leading figure in popular music and was acclaimed by critics and fellow musicians for his innovative work, particularly for his work during the 1970s. His career was marked by reinvention and visual presentation, with his music and stagecraft significantly influencing popular music.

Loving The Alien – The Song

Loving The Alien is a song written and recorded by David Bowie. It was the opening track to his sixteenth studio album “Tonight”. One of two tracks on the album written solely by Bowie, an edited version of the song was released as a single in May 1985, nine months after the release of lead single “Blue Jean” and eight months after the release of the album. “Loving the Alien” peaked at No. 19 in the UK Singles Chart. The song explored Bowie’s “intense dislike” of organised religion.

Alien Head – The Shape

This record has been modelled into the head of an alien. It is the familiar alien shape of an egg shaped head and two large cat like eyes. Extraterrestrial life refers to life occurring outside of Earth which did not originate on Earth. Such hypothetical life might range from simple prokaryotes (or comparable life forms) to beings with civilisations far more advanced than humanity. The Drake equation speculates about the existence of intelligent life elsewhere in the universe. The science of extraterrestrial life in all its forms is known as exobiology..
