Scarborough Football Club – The Artist/s

Scarborough Football Club was a football club based in the seaside resort of Scarborough, North Yorkshire. They were one of the oldest football clubs in England, formed in 1879, before they were wound up on 20 June 2007, with debts of £2.5 million. They played at the Athletic Ground from 1898 until the club’s dissolution. In 1987. The then football team produced this record from an original idea by teams commercial manager, Tony Peers.

We Play For Scarborough – The Song

‘We Play For Scarborough Is a song written by Gorden Lorenz and was sung by the Scarborough football team players at the time. It was primarily produced for fans and it was not a commercial success. it failed to chart in the UK singles chart.

The Football Shirt – The Shape

This record is modelled into the silhouette of a short sleeved football shirt which is part of the footballers kit. In association football, kit (also referred to as a strip or uniform) is the standard equipment and attire worn by players. The sport’s rules specify the minimum kit which a player must use, and also prohibit the use of anything that is dangerous to either the player or another participant. Individual competitions may stipulate further restrictions, such as regulating the size of logos displayed on shirts and stating that, in the event of a match between teams with identical or similar colours, the away team must change to different coloured attire.
