The Hard Rock Hotel, a international chain of themed hotels has chosen Kenny Deane Vinyl art for its newest Hotel. Hard Rock Hotel – London is on the site of the Cumberland Hotel on the corner of Marble Arch and Park Lane and is scheduled to open in March 2019.
The Hard Rock has chosen a selection of Kenny’s vinyl art made from genuine vintage 7” records for its themed bedrooms. The pieces chosen have a record link to the many famous musicians that have been associated or been a resident with the hotel since its opening in 1933. Artists include Jimi Hendrix, Elton John, Bob Dylan, Duran Duran and Madonna alongside contemporary artists. A typical example, is Kenny’s artwork of the Queen song ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ which is modelled into a grand piano. While in the foyer of the hotel is Freddie Mercurys actual grand piano.
When finished, the hotel will feature around 1,000 rooms and suites, two bars and a 370-seat Hard Rock Cafe in the lobby, as well as a Rock Shop selling Hard Rock merchandise.
Design Manager, Joey Goei said: “Kenny and his art was originally spotted by one of our team at a market in the Home counties. His use of original 7” records is colourful and very eye-catching. They will compliment the design of our hotel admirably and work well in highlighting other music memorabilia within the hotel.”

The cafes solicit donations of music memorabilia but also purchase a number of items at auctions around the world, including autographed guitars, costumes from world tours and rare photographs; these are often to be found mounted on cafe walls.

We discovered Kenny at Carfest last year, my husbands ‘Man Cave’ now has several of Kennys innovative art works.
They make great gifts especially if the records have a special meaning to the recipient. I’m so pleased his art work has been recognised, he is a lovely man.
